The Louisiana Junior Golf Tour member spotlight is a monthly article highlighting the strong talent in our state. Our August junior golfer to be featured is Riley Hnatyshyn of Abita Springs. Riley is a rising senior at St. Paul’s High School, and has been a member of the Louisiana Junior Golf Tour(LJGT) since its inception in 2019. He is the reigning LJGT Player of the Year.. Riley will be attending Louisiana Tech University in the fall of 2022 and play for the men’s golf team. Here is our Q&A with Riley:
1. What is your favorite golf memory?
My favorite golf memory would be the time I hit 17 out of the 18 greens in the LJGT at Squire Creek, and shot my personal best in tournament play which was a 68.
2. If you were a golf club, which club would you be and why?
I would want to be a a putter because I would have to come in for the clutches moments.
3. What is your dream golf course to play?
Cypress Point Golf Club.
4. Along with yourself, who would be in your ideal golf foursome?
Ben Hogan, Arnold Palmer, and Tiger Woods.
5. Favorite PGA or LPGA player?
Justin Thomas
6. What sport would you play if you did not play golf?
I would want to race in Nascar.
7. Favorite golf movie?
Greatest Game Ever Played
8. What are you currently binge-watching?

9. What is your favorite subject in school?
