148 players competed in the first round of the 41st Louisiana Four-Ball Championship held at Southern Trace Country Club. Tee times began this morning at 7:30 AM off the 1st and 10th tee. The course played to a par 72 at 6,817 yards for the overall field.

Shreveport, LA – The 41st Louisiana Four-Ball Championship kicked off today at Southern Trace Country Club. The morning started dewy but soon gave way to sunny skies and a slight breeze. A total of 74 teams competed, with Jacob Wyatt of Bossier City and Eric Regard of Shreveport finishing at nine-under par after their first 18 holes. This duo not only carded a 63 but also emerged from the first round with only one bogey, eight birdies, and one eagle, positioning themselves at the top of the leaderboard.

Two shots back at seven-under par are David Rogenmoser of Boyce and Chuck Spears of Pineville. This duo had an impressive round, tallying eight birdies and two bogeys. Tied for third at six-under par are Grant Reagan and James Holtsclaw of Shreveport and Andrew Starkey and Joe Gerrity of New Orleans.

A skins game was also held during today’s first round, with the sole winner being one of the leading players, Jacob Wyatt, who secured the victory with his eagle on the 18th hole at Southern Trace. As the only skins winner, Wyatt will be adding an extra $1,840 to his bank account from today’s competition.
