Alston Manne of Baton Rouge is leading the field after 18 holes on Saturday at Querbes Park Golf Club. Manne shot an impressive round of four-under par 67 finishing the last four holes with 3 birdies. Manne almost had a bogey free round, but missed a three-footer on hole nine to card one bogey. Manne was able to hold off Noah McWilliams of Benton who posted an 18-hole round of two-under par 69. Following close behind Manne and McWilliams is Ben Blanco who carded one-under par 70 for 18 holes. Stay tuned tomorrow as the Overall Boys’ leaders will tee it up at 11:00 AM in the morning.
Ariana Blagrove of Slidell is in the lead for the Overall Girls’ Division after 18 holes at Querbes Park Golf Club. Blagrove shot a low round of four-over par 75 for first day of the tournament. Following close behind is Mattie Purgahn of Lake Charles who shot eight-over par 79 and Vivian Volion of Springfield who posted ten-over par 81. The girls will be teeing off at 8:36 AM in the morning to enter their second round of the tournament.
Hudson Greene of Bossier City has an impressive lead in the Boys’ 11-13 Division after shooting four-under par 67. In second place is Noah Chauvin of Broussard who shot four-over par 75 and Slayte Guidry of Logansport who shot seven-over par 78. The boys hope to finish strong tomorrow teeing off at 8:18 AM.
The LJGT at Querbes had a beautiful day today with the high begin 77 degrees with a nice breeze to accompany the sunshine. Tomorrow’s forecast is similar to todays with a high of 82 degrees and sunny. The Querbes Park Golf Club played to a par of 71 at approximately 6,166 yards for the Overall Boy’s division and approximately 5,512 for the Overall Girl’s and the Boy’s 11-13 division. |
