Lafayette, Louisiana – We are thrilled to announce that our October Louisiana Junior Golf Tour Player of the Month is Rhyan Marcelissen! A resident of Broussard, Louisiana, Rhyan is a student at Southside High School. Despite being sidelined for much of the 2024 season due to a wrist injury, we’re excited to see her make a strong comeback at the upcoming LJGT Tour Championship. We recently had the pleasure of sitting down with Rhyan for an exclusive interview, where she shared valuable insights into her journey and success in golf. Check out her inspiring responses below!
What is you favorite golf course you have played so far?
RTJ Grand National
What college do you plan on attending?
LSU or University of Miami!
If you could play golf with anyone in the world, who would you pick?
Justin Thomas because he seems like such a fun person
When did you start playing golf?
2 years ago in March of 2022
What inspired you to take up the game?
My dad!
What is your favorite memory from playing golf?
Beating my brother one time we played 🙂

Have to jam to YoungBoy while warming up

Matching shoes with my outfit

Putter because I always come in clutch
