LGA Member Benefits
Handicap Index
Each member will receive a GHIN number that will provide the member with an WHS Handicap Index after posting 54 hole scores. State and regional golf associations, such as the LGA, are authorized by the WHS to issue a Handicap Index and monitor the World Handicap System. As part of the GHIN handicap network, LGA members have an opportunity to locally post scores at more than 30,000 courses across the world and have the scores routed to their home club. In addition, with the Mobile GHIN app and GHIN.com these posting features are always at your fingertips, being able to post from an iPhone or Android smartphone.
E-Newsletters
The e-Newsletter allows LGA members to receive their Handicap Index, recent scores, and news from the association via email on the 1st and the 15th of every month. If you are a LGA Member and are not receiving an e-Newsletter, please contact our office.
Rules Education
LGA is the member resource for all questions related to The Rules of Golf. The LGA staff conducts Rules seminars at sites throughout surrounding areas, and is available to conduct personal seminars at member clubs.
LGA Ladies Week
A week-long event for our female, LGA members to enjoy rounds of golf at a selected LGA member club at a special reduced rate. LGA Fantasy Golf
A virtual game, that is free to play, in which members assemble a virtual team of professional golfers. Members will select their rosters from drafts involving players in the U.S. PGA Tour and European Tours. Players get the chance to win from assortments of prizes and can enter into any current pool available.
LGA Member Trips
Members have the opportunity to participate in annual LGA Member Trips to the United Kingdom or the Republic of Ireland.
