McWilliams and Goodwin Lead at 23rd Louisiana Women’s Four-Ball Championship

24 players competed in the first round of the 23rd Louisiana Women’s Four-Ball Championship held at Golf Club at Stonebridge in Bossier City, Louisiana . Tee times began as a shotgun start off of holes 15-18 and hole one this morning at 8:00 AM. The course played to a par 72 at 5,209 yards for the overall field.

Bossier City, LA – The 23rd Louisiana Women’s Four-Ball Championship kicked off today at Golf Club at Stonebridge. The morning started off a bit chilly but soon gave way to sunny skies and a mild breeze. A total of 12 teams competed, with Abigail McWilliams of Benton and Grace Goodwin of Bossier City finishing at six-under par, 66 after their first 18 holes. This duo carded in 7 birdies from the first round with only and handful of bogeys, positioning themselves at the top of the leaderboard.

One shot back at five-under par are Maci Williams of Brusly and Evelynn Artieta of Denham Springs. This duo had an impressive round, tallying five birdies and two bogeys. Sitting in third at two-under par are cousin, Sarah Hodson of Raceland and Catherine Hodson of Baton Rouge.

There are also three flighted divisions for this championship.  The following is the leaderboard for each division:
