Louisiana Native Brian Williams as Director of Golf at The Country Club of Louisiana

Baton Rouge, LADecember 4th, 2023

The Louisiana Golf Association (LGA) is proud to highlight the promotion of Brian Williams to the position of Director of Golf at the prestigious Country Club of Louisiana (CCLA). Brian, formerly the Head Golf Professional at CCLA, will be responsible for overseeing all golf operations at the Country Club of Louisiana, ensuring a high standard of excellence in every aspect of the golf department and overall membership experience. Williams has been an essential part of CCLA’s operations since his hiring in 2021, and as of November 16, 2023, he stepped into the elevated leadership role as Director of Golf, ensuring a seamless transition.

According to Chris Brown, General Manager of Country Club of Louisiana, “…I have full confidence in his ability to continue to take the CCL Golf experience to the next level and beyond.”

Williams takes over from Gamon Manne who played a key role in CCLA’s golf programs for many years. The LGA developed a great relationship with Manne, appreciating his charisma, and we will miss his presence on the course. Following in his footsteps, there is much confidence that Williams will do an excellent job in continuing the legacy and leading the ongoing success of the golf department.

The LGA is excited to work with Williams and the entire CCLA team this coming summer at the upcoming 105th Louisiana State Amateur Championship, which is set to take place at the Country Club of Louisiana from June 6th to 9th. This championship is anticipated to be a highlight in the Louisiana golf calendar this summer, showcasing the excellence of CCLA’s course and aiming to deliver an exceptional championship experience to all competitors.
