Krysta is an avid player in our popular Sam Burns Four-Ball Championship, in which she will be competing in again later this month. We had the privilege of conducting an interview with Loftin, where she shared insights into her success. Here are her responses!

What is you favorite golf course you have played so far?

There are so many great ones that I’ve played but my favorite is still my home course, Golfcrest CC.

What college do you plan on attending?

My top two choices right now are Sam Houston State University and University of Houston but I have a couple years to figure that out.

If you could play golf with anyone in the world, who would you pick?

Tiger Woods because he is one of the best to have ever played and I feel like I could learn a lot from him.

When did you start playing golf?

I started going to the golf course with my dad and hitting when I was about 5 but didn’t start playing competitively until I was 11.

What inspired you to take up the game?

My dad and grandad always taking me to the golf course made me fall in love with the game.

What is your favorite memory from playing golf?

Competing in the 2022 Drive, Chip & Putt National Finals at Augusta.

Describe your pre-round routine.

About 25 minutes on the range, 15 minutes chipping and 20 minutes putting.

Any superstitions or rituals before a tournament?

I pray before every tournament.

What’s your go-to club in a challenging situation?

My 54 degree wedge, I feel like I can get up and down from anywhere with that club.

What is your dream course to play?

Augusta National. I have walked the course and got to putt on the 18th green but would love to play at least one round some day.

If you were a golf club, which would you be and why?

A putter because that’s the most important club in my bag.

What is your go-to snack and/or food/meal to get you “tournament ready”?

A peanut butter and jelly sandwich.

Who is someone you love to play with or against because you know it will help improve your golf game?

My friend Annika Clark who is an amazing player and will hopefully make it thru Q school this year.

What advice would you give to aspiring young golfers?

Take one shot at a time and forget about the bad ones.

Favorite hobbies or activities besides golf?

Drawing, puzzles, shopping, pickleball and volleyball.

Write one random fact about yourself

I’m actually left handed but I play golf right handed.

Take a moment to share a message with fellow LJGT players, fans, and supporters.

Thank you to everyone that supports junior golf and for the players, I hope we all lower our handicaps this year.
