LJGT August Player of the Month: Logan Jensen

Our August Louisiana Junior Golf Tour Player of the Month is Mr. Logan Jensen. Logan is from Denham Springs, Louisiana and currently attends Live Oak High School.  In the future, Jensen plans to attend Louisiana State University; we got the chance to ask Logan some questions pertaining to his succession in golf and these were his answers!

If you could play golf with anyone in the world, who would you pick and why?

I would pick Tiger Woods’ dad because he would be able to tell me everything he did to help Tiger become the best to ever do it.

What is your favorite memory from playing golf?

It’s not really from playing but it’s how I started. My dad always played baseball so I was heavily inclined to play when I was younger and for my 4th birthday my uncle tried to get me a baseball net, but when we opened it up it turned out to be a golf net so my dad asked me if I wanted to get a set of clubs and the rest is history.

What is one random fact about yourself?

I’m left handed but swing the club righty.

If you were a golf club, which would you be and why?

A putter because I always try to finish the job just like the putter at the end of a hole.

What is your dream course to play?

I mean who isn’t answering this with Augusta🤷🏻‍♂️

What is your go-to snack or food to get you “tournament ready”?

A Strawberry Uncrustable

Who is someone you love to play golf with or against because you know it will help improve your golf game?

My dad. He doesn’t even have to play, he just sits in the cart because I can feel the waves of judgment every time I hit a bad shot and I feel like that’s what makes me a perfectionist.

Logan also wanted to make the following comment KNOWN, “I started the bucket hat trend for LJGT players so if you see another kid wearing them it’s because they are a copier✌️ .”

The Louisiana Golf Association and Louisiana Junior Golf Tour are proud to spotlight the amazing young talent that plays on our tour and see them succeed through future endeavors.
