Lafayette, LA – April 28, 2020
Due to the COVID-19/Coronavirus pandemic, the Championship Committee has determined that qualifying events will not be held and all entrants will be allowed to participate in the Championship proper scheduled for June 11-14, 2020, at Bayou Oaks at City Park (South Course) in New Orleans. Rest assured, the health and safety of our staff and competitors is paramount, and we will have measures in place at the championship to protect everyone involved.
We are accepting a field of 144 players on a first come first served basis (entrants must meet eligibility requirements). Registration will remain open until a full field is reached at which point a waiting list will be created for additional entries. If you previously registered for a qualifier, you are now in the competition.
Pairings and starting times for first and second rounds of play will be emailed to you and posted to the Championship website (https://www.golfgenius.com/pages/2349981) on or about June 3, 2020. Starting times will be needed for your practice round (participants only) on Wednesday, June 10, 2020. Bayou Oaks at City Park has requested that you contact them on or after June 3 to reserve practice round starting times. The Bayou Oaks at City Park phone number is (504) 483-9410.
The current date is still in play pending future announcements from the Governor. If the championship cannot be played on that date the alternate date will be August 13-16.
