ENTRY FORMS AND ONLINE REGISTRATION FOR SENIOR AMATEUR AND SENIOR FOUR-BALL CHAMPIONSHIPS; APPROACHING DEADLINES FOR MID-AMATEUR, JUNIOR AMATEUR, AND FOUR-BALL CHAMPIONSHIPS

June 1, 2010 -- Lafayette, LA -- Entry forms are now available for the 2010 LGA Senior Amateur and Senior 4-Ball Championships.  You may register online for either of these Championships at www.LGAgolf.org.  Venues for the events this year are the TPC Louisiana in New Orleans (Senior Am) and OakWing Golf Club in Alexandria (Senior 4-Ball).  The Senior Amateur will be held August 19-21, with the Senior 4-Ball following three weeks later the weekend of September 11-12.

You’ll need to have your ID and password in order to take advantage of online entry.  We forwarded both to you earlier this year; however, if you’ve misplaced either, please call our office.  We’ll be glad to email them to you again.  Click here to enter the Senior Amateur and/or Senior 4-Ball Championships.

Note that registration is still available for our Mid-Amateur (Southern Trace CC), Junior Amateur (Ellendale CC), and 4-Ball (English Turn G & CC) Championships.  Deadlines for entry into these Championships are as follows: Junior Amateur/5 PM, June 22; Mid-Amateur/5 PM, June 25; and 4-Ball/5 PM, July 6.  Again, don’t let the deadlines for these events sneak up on you; as you no doubt know, late entries will not be accepted.  Qualifiers for the Mid-Amateur will be held at eight sites around the state in early July with the Championship proper to be conducted, as indicated above, at Southern Trace Country Club in Shreveport, August 6-8.  As has been the case the last number of years, those not qualifying for Championship rounds play in the 2010 Mid-Amateur Championship will receive a refund of $100 at the conclusion of the Championship.  Click here to enter the Junior Am, Mid-Am, and/or 4-Ball Championships.

Please again be reminded regarding our online entry process for the Mid-Amateur Championship.  If you are exempt from qualifying for this event, you will enter the Mid-Amateur Championship/Exempt Players.  If you are not exempt you will enter the Mid-Amateur Championship that lists the qualifying sites.  Please be sure to select the appropriate event based on your status as exempt or non-exempt.

As always, we look forward to seeing you during the remainder of the 2010 golf season.  Please contact the LGA offices at 337.265.3938 if you have questions.
