ENTRY APPLICATIONS AND ONLINE REGISTRATION FOR MID-AM, JUNIOR AM, AND 4-BALL CHAMPIONSHIPS

Online registration and hard-copy entry applications are now available for the Louisiana Golf Association’s Mid-Amateur, Junior Amateur, and Four-Ball Championships.  The LGA annually conducts eight (8) Championships, beginning in late April with the Club Team Championship and concluding in mid September with the Senior Four-Ball Championship.

The LGA Mid-Amateur will be conducted at Southern Trace Country Club in Shreveport, August 6-8, 2010, with qualifying rounds at eight statewide sites in early July.  The Arthur Hills design at Southern Trace is one of the LGA’s most popular sites.  Entry fee for the Mid-Am is $200, with individuals not qualifying for Championship rounds play receiving a $100 refund.  Entries are also now available for the Junior Amateur Championship at Ellendale Country Club in Houma, as well as the Four-Ball Championship at English Turn G & CC, a Jack Nicklaus design that hosted the PGA Tour’s New Orleans stop for many years.  Dates for the Junior Am are June 30-July 2 with the entry fee set at $50.  The Four-Ball is scheduled for July 17-18 with a team entry fee of $300.

In order to register online for LGA Championships, one must simply log onto the LGA’s homepage at www.LGAgolf.org and select ‘Online Tournament Registration.’   From there, simply follow the prompts for registration.  Navigation through the online entry is an easy process.

Online registration is available for all 2010 LGA Championships with the exception of the Club Team Championship.  Opening date for online registration for the Net Amateur and Amateur Championships was February 1; for the Junior Amateur, Four-Ball, and Mid-Amateur Championships, April 1; and for the Senior Amateur and Senior Four-Ball Championships, June 1.  Entry forms may be downloaded from our website and forwarded to the LGA office (the old fashioned way) and are also available by calling the LGA office.

Entries must be submitted for the 2010 Amateur Championship (June 10-13 at Koasati Pines at Coushatta in Kinder) by May 4, with the Net Amateur Championship (May 15-16 at Santa Maria GC in Baton Rouge) deadline also falling on May 4.

For more information on the LGA, its Championships, and other of its services, visit the LGA’s website at www.LGAgolf.org, or call our office at 337-265-3938.
