JOIN THE LGA

Louisiana Golf Association is an association of member clubs, including clubs with a golf course, associate clubs without a golf course and internet clubs. In all cases, the clubs are united in purpose: to provide their members with the opportunity to pursue the game of golf with integrity and in accordance with the USGA Handicap System.

An individual may become a LGA member by joining one of our 100+ Member Clubs and establishing a USGA Handicap Index. There are two easy methods for applying -- 1) In person at a LGA Member Club near one's home or work, or 2) Online at www.LGAgolf.org, selecting a "home" club from a list of 19 Member Clubs located across the state.

1) Join in person at a LGA Member Club
Visit a LGA Member Club near your home or work and indicate your interest in joining the LGA. It is necessary to establish a "home" course where your records are kept. You can still play and post your scores wherever you want, but your handicap will be maintained at your "home" club. Your local member club staff can help you enroll as a member of the LGA so you can establish a handicap and start posting your scores.

Visit the online Club Directory to view a list of the LGA's Member Clubs.

2) Join online at www.LGAgolf.org
Click the "Join the LGA Now!" link below. The three-step process for applying online is simple and secure. After reading a page of information and instructions - which should answer any initial questions - applicants are presented a list showing the locations of participating Member Clubs, along with contact information and web site links to those clubs. After deciding on a "home" club, applicants fill out a brief application and make payment via credit card. The annual dues for online membership are $30, and the LGA accepts VISA and Mastercard.

Once the application is accepted, new members will receive a confirmation e-mail with information detailing when they can start posting scores and expect to receive their USGA Handicap Index.
