LGA Benefits and Services

The LGA actively promotes and advances the game of golf in Louisiana by providing a wide range of services for its member clubs, individual members, and for all golf enthusiasts across the state. We are dedicated to providing golfers with the opportunity to pursue the game of golf with integrity and in accordance with the USGA Handicap System. An individual may join the LGA by affiliating with one of our 100+ member clubs. Now, with this online option, it’s easier than ever to join the LGA and establish your handicap index. 

In addition to your USGA Handicap Index via the LGA Handicap Network, membership in the LGA includes the following benefits:

• Eligibility to participate in LGA championships (9 total).

• Additional options with the LGA Handicap Network, including Internet Score Posting and email revisions.

• LGA discount card – One free cart rental at 11 Audubon Golf Trail courses.

• Member discounts on Aflac Insurance, Golfweek magazine, and Bushnell rangefinders.

No matter where you play, you also benefit from the LGA’s services to its member clubs:

• USGA Licensed Course, Slope and Pace of Play Ratings – The LGA is the only entity approved by the USGA to issue ratings for Louisiana golf courses.

• Educational Seminars– on handicapping, course ratings, and the Rules of Golf, which are open to club members as well as its management.
